Library Building

Reading is essential to gaining knowledge, libraries are pillars to education. They also serve as centers for communication in the small villages. The Rosemarie Foundation sponsored building of libraries for five schools. This project has now also received support from the South African government.

The Kalahari Project started many years ago when a group of FIS (Frankfurt International School) senior students and teachers who understood the reality of the suffering of the people from the Moshaweng Valley in South Africa made a decision. They would go there themselves, learn first-hand of the needs of the Moshaweng people, then contribute their support.

The Rosemarie Foundation was delighted having been part of this challenging project to provide education to those most in need for a full decade.
